Dear Media Representative,
On behalf of the volunteer committee of the AuSable River Canoe Marathon, we welcome you to our 65th Annual Race. We truly appreciate the media exposure you provide and hope you will enjoy this year's race. Everything you should need is on the website and it has all of the most current information on it. If you are coming to the race this year, you will receive a media kit that contains a program book, entry list and all the press releases. You will need the parking pass and media badge included in the media packet to get into some of the areas.
Over 60 teams from all over the United States, Canada, and England will be entered in the Marathon. The thrilling Lemans style run to the river starts at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night, July 28th, in Grayling with the teams getting to their first portage at Mio dam around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 29th.
If you have any questions or are looking for story lines for this year's race please feel free to contact the public relations committee.
